Steph Hanchak, Editor, Writer

On any given day, you can find Steph running down random side streets throughout her beloved hometown of West Chester, PA, or in endless circles around the Westtown track. When she’s not drinking excessive amounts of coffee or tea from one of the mugs in her prized collection, she’s probably drawing eyes in the margins of her notebook, listening to one of her oddly specific Spotify playlists, or pondering the meaning of life with her cat Sunny. Steph enjoys saving recipes on Instagram, knowing full well that she will never take the time to actually make them. She loves the outdoors but is known to scream if she sees a frog or toad, which she finds absolutely terrifying. When she’s not creating incredibly entertaining videos for the Garage Youth Center, reading memoirs, or diving into another one of her mind-blowing hobbies, Steph enjoys writing articles for the Brown & White, working with the Sports Nutrition Club and Peer Tutoring Program, running with her cross country and track teammates, and, in pre-pandemic times, spending hours in the dining hall as a Work Program Head. A lifer at Westtown, Steph is excited to make the most out of this crazy year in every way possible. Some advice she has to everyone reading this is to live in the present and not take things so seriously because YOLO.
