ABOUT ME
I’m Aveline Heryer and I’m ready to double-down in leadership and devote my senior year to Westtown as your SBP. I started Upper School at Westtown in 10th grade and am a boarding student from California, near San Francisco. In the afternoons, you can find me at robotics or getting my steps in around campus. I also love to travel and focus on international issues through the Model UN and Feminist Advocating for Equality (FAE) clubs. Something that is unique about me is that I already left Westtown once (attended both lower and middle school), and I can say: When you leave, Westtown will stay with you.

WHY ME?
I am running for SBP because I love Westtown and want to make it the best place it can be and give back to a community that is my second family. I value open conversations, inclusion, respect, balance, and improvement. As SBP, I would advocate for the entire upper school community and commit myself to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and heard. I am passionate about working as a liaison between students and faculty to deliver real solutions and quickly act to mitigate future issues. In my last year at Westtown I want to co-create new traditions that are relevant, fun and intentional activities to unite and strengthen our community.
GOALS
- Amplify and work with affinity groups and clubs to support spaces and ensure students feel represented.
- Fun all-school events: dances for every season, retreats, pep-rallies during the assembly block, competitions between grades.
- Host continual SBP listening sessions to ensure student body is properly represented.
- Facilitate communication between faculty and students to lessen misunderstandings and help with transparency.
